Quality Engineer

Job description

The Quality Engineer is operationally responsible for the entire quality process. This involves developing, implementing and maintaining quality standards within an organisation. It also includes identifying process improvements, performing quality audits and solving problems to ensure overall product quality. In doing so, you work closely with your colleagues, suppliers and customers to ensure constant quality and improvements.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for analysing, assessing, implementing and securing changes related to quality aspects during the duration of the programme; 
  • You analyse and assess customer complaints in consultation with the internal organisation; 
  • You identify improvement needs, draft and implement improvement proposals; 
  • You supervise customer audits and answer customer questions;
  • You report periodically to management on progress, results and any deviations, causes and improvement needs; 
  • Ensuring that all relevant information is recorded and captured in the appropriate data systems; 
  • Establish and maintain quality standards and procedures within the organisation;
  • You are responsible for training and explaining quality standards, procedures and awareness; 
  • You define, implement and secure working instructions and methods for (deviating) standards.

Job Requirements

  • You have an MBO+/HBO working and thinking level in a technical direction, supplemented by professional training or courses. Work experience within a similar position is a plus;
  • You have technical knowledge and are able to master the organisation's production process;
  • You have knowledge of quality methods and specific applications in the field of high-tech metal products; 
  • You have a good knowledge of the Dutch and English languages, both verbally and in writing.
